Apples to Apples

From the box: “Apples to Apples are the game of hilarious comparisons. It’s as easy as comparing apples to apples just open the box, deal the cards, and you’re ready to play. Select the card from your hand that you think is best described by a card played by the judge.”

Loy says: “Apples to Apples is a great party game for all ages. One player chooses a descriptive card (bumbling, desperate, humorous) and all others play a card from their hands that they feel best matches the descriptive card. You can be straightforward, although it isn’t as much fun. The game becomes hilarious with the snarky player who plays the hilarious sarcastic suggestion. With many, many cards it’s a different game every time. Apples to Apples is also a good choice to have along for a trip (great to play in airports), while waiting for dinner (can be easily picked up and put away at restaurants), and in the camper or cabin for rainy days. A family favorite.”

Kiera says: “It’s a fun game for those who like Cards Against Humanity but have kids or want to play at work. Before I was old enough to play CAH, I would recommend this one right away. If you like light-hearted humor, this is a good game.”

Alannah says: “I liked it when I was a kid. I think it’s better with younger ages or as an alternative to Cards Against Humanity. You need to know a lot of the celebrity names and historical events or you will be confused by it. Maybe middle school, but even then some of the names are outdated.”

Sam says: “Apples-to-Apples offers a laid back game for old friends to catch up over, new friends to connect over, and family to laugh at together. All players work to put forth their best noun for whatever adjective is flipped up, and a changing judge decides who wins. For relaxing and easy gameplay, Apples-to-Apples has been a staple at my Christmas Eve for 4 years and we always reminisce and laugh while playing it.”
