Loy says: “Having been out of print for some time, it’s good to see Pit make a comeback! This has been a family favorite since some of our Game Guides were young’uns. In this game of trading, you try to collect a complete set before your opponents can do the same … but, you can’t see what anyone else is trading! Jumping up and down, waving wildly, and yelling yourself hoarse is half the fun. It’s easy to learn and play, loud, fun, and will get your blood pumping. It’s okay with three people, but you really need five to seven before this game shows its true worth. We have three copies; so expect lots of trade calling!”
From the box: Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their CODENAMES.
In Codenames, two teams compete to see who can make contact with all of their agents first. Spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team. And everyone wants to avoid the assassin.
From the box: “Cranium Brain Breaks is a purple brain shaped box with 200 one-minute mini games! Fast, frantic fun that will have your family acting, sketching, sculpting, and word puzzling as you race together to beat the timer. With 200 different activities. Cranium Brain Breaks features lots of activities as seen in other Cranium games, such as sketching, sculpting, acting, humming, word puzzles and more.”
From the box: “Taboo is a party word game. Players take turns describing a word or phrase on a drawn card to their partner without using five common additional words or phrases also on the card. The opposing partners watch a timer and use a buzzer to stop the game, buzz the player describing if one of the five off limits words or phrases is used, or the describing player makes any gestures. An excellent party game and great for larger teams!”
Our latest acquisition is an oldie but a goodie. Players divide into two teams to guess at words – but – the clue giver cannot say any of the “taboo” words. Can you make your team say APPLE without saying RED, JUICY, BIG, or CANDY? Try to get as many correct guesses as possible before the sands run out on the timer – but watch your words, because the opposing team gets to “buzz you out” if you slip up!
